Affordable Website Design Pricing: What’s Included and How It Works
One of the most common questions I’m asked is:
“How much does a website actually cost?”
Many people assume a professional website has to cost hundreds or even thousands of pounds. In reality, for individuals and small businesses, a clean and effective website can be built at a much more affordable price — as long as the scope is clear.
This post explains my pricing structure, what’s included, and what costs are handled separately, so everything is transparent from the start.
My Standard Website Package
Standard Website – £40
This package is designed for individuals, startups, and small businesses who need a simple, professional online presence.
The standard package includes:
Up to 4 pages (typically Home, About, Services, and Contact) A mobile-friendly layout A clean, professional design Contact form setup Basic website structure and configuration
This option is ideal if you want to get online quickly without unnecessary features or complexity.
Optional Add-Ons
For clients who need additional functionality, I offer optional upgrades:
Online store setup: +£20 This includes basic store configuration. Products, pricing, and content must be provided by the client. Additional pages: £5 per page Useful for extra services, galleries, FAQs, or blog pages.
What’s Not Included
To keep pricing affordable and flexible, some costs are handled directly by the client:
Website builder subscriptions Premium plans or paid plugins Domain name registration
This ensures you maintain full ownership and control over your website and subscriptions.
Project Details and Expectations
To keep projects running smoothly, the following applies:
Website text and images must be supplied by the client unless agreed otherwise One round of revisions is included Typical turnaround time is 3–5 days for a standard website Full payment is required before work begins
Clear expectations help ensure a smooth process and a better final result for both sides.
